Garage Door Family · Katy, TX

Terms & Conditions

What you can expect from us and what we expect back. Written in plain English on purpose — if a term matters enough to hold you to, it matters enough to be readable.

Free estimate, no call-out fee 5-year parts / 90-day labor Price agreed before work starts

Who These Terms Are With

These terms cover using this website and hiring Garage Door Family LLC of 25140 Kingsland Blvd STE 118, Katy, TX 77494 — “we” and “us” below. “You” is whoever books the work.

Estimates and Pricing

  • Estimates are free and there is no service-call charge. We don’t charge to come out and look, and we don’t charge a fee that only disappears if you book.
  • You get the price before we start. A technician looks at the door, tells you what it needs and what it costs, and you decide. If you say no, that costs you nothing.
  • If the job changes, the price changes — with your say-so first. Doors hide problems. If we open something up and find more, we stop and tell you before doing anything that costs more than we quoted.
  • Prices, coupons and offers shown on this website can change, and they don’t override a price a technician has given you in person.

Our Warranty

On work we do:

  • 5 years on parts we supply. If a part we fitted fails, we replace it.
  • 90 days on workmanship. If we didn’t fit it right, we come back and put it right.

What the warranty doesn’t cover, so there are no surprises later:

  • Parts we didn’t supply, and work somebody else did
  • Damage from a vehicle hitting the door, storms, flooding or break-ins
  • Normal wear on the rest of an old door — replacing one spring doesn’t make the other twenty-year-old parts new
  • Doors that have been adjusted or worked on by someone else after we left

To claim, call (346) 998-5099 and tell us roughly when we came out. Keep your receipt if you have it, but we keep records too.

Turning Up

We answer the phone 24 hours and we do same-day work across the service area. What we can’t promise is an exact arrival time: how fast we get to you depends on where you are, what’s already booked, and Houston traffic. We’ll give you an honest window when you call, and we’ll ring you if it slips.

Somebody over 18 needs to be there to let us at the door and to approve the work.

Where We Work

Katy, Houston, Sugar Land, League City, Galveston, Kingwood and Magnolia, plus the areas around them. If you’re not sure whether you’re in it, call and ask — we’ll tell you straight rather than drive out and surprise you.

Cancelling

Change your mind or need to move the appointment? Call us. There’s no cancellation fee for telling us before we set off — we’d far rather you called than we drove out to an empty house.

SMS & MMS Text Message Terms

Garage Door Family LLC runs a text-message program for customers who ask for it. These terms apply if you opt in.

  1. What we send. Appointment confirmations, service updates, estimates and customer-care messages about your garage door work. That’s it — we don’t run promotional blasts.
  2. How you opt in. Either by ticking the text-message box on the form on our website — it starts unticked, and leaving it alone costs you nothing — or by giving your number to a technician and telling them it’s fine to text you. Message frequency varies with your service requests. Message and data rates may apply.
  3. How you opt out. Reply STOP to any message from us. You’ll get one confirmation that it worked, and then nothing further unless you re-enroll. Opting out doesn’t affect your job, your price or your warranty — we’ll just call or email instead.
  4. Help. Reply HELP to any message, or reach us at info@garagedoorfamily.com or (346) 998-5099.
  5. Privacy. We do not share, sell or rent your mobile number or your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Using This Website

  • The photos on this site are our own jobs, and the text is ours. Please don’t copy it onto another garage door company’s website.
  • The advice pages are general guidance about garage doors, not a diagnosis of your door. Garage door springs are under enormous tension and can injure you badly. If a page says to call someone, call someone.
  • Manufacturer names on this site are used to say whose equipment we work on. Those names belong to their owners and we’re not claiming to be affiliated with any of them.

If Something Goes Wrong

Call us first, before anything else. Most problems are a return visit, and we’d rather fix it than argue about it. Our responsibility is limited to the work we did and the parts we supplied.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Changes

We may update this page. The version that applies to your job is the one published on the day you booked it.

Last updated 9 September 2026. This is the first published version of this page. It includes our SMS & MMS text message terms.
