A person answers, day or night. Describe the noise or what the door is doing.
Springs, cables, rollers and opener parts ride on the truck, so most jobs get done in one visit.
The tech looks at the door and gives you one number. Nothing starts until you say yes.
We run the door up and down, check the balance and the safety eyes, then show you what we did.
Torsion and extension springs, snapped cables, drums and cracked hinges.

Most spring calls start the same way. A loud bang from the garage, sometimes in the middle of the night. Then the door won’t lift, or the opener hums and strains and the door moves a few inches and stops. Look at the bar above the door. A broken torsion spring shows a clean gap in the coil.
The spring does the lifting, not you and not the opener. With it broken, the door is dead weight, often well over a hundred pounds, and it can drop fast. Leave it shut, unplug the opener if it keeps trying, and call.
Our trucks carry springs, so most spring jobs are done in one visit. Springs start at $135, and a typical pair runs $180–$290. You get the firm price before we start, and there’s no extra charge for coming up to Conroe. More on spring repair →
Conroe is hard on garage doors in its own way. Three things show up again and again.
Damp air off the lake. Around Lake Conroe the air rarely dries out. Moisture sits on bare steel, and the first parts to go are the ones nobody looks at: the spring coils, the hinge pins and the cable ends down by the bottom brackets. Rust on a spring adds friction between the coils, and that wears it out sooner. A frayed cable end is the one to worry about, because that’s where a cable lets go.
Pine everything. This is pine country. In spring the pollen coats the driveway yellow, and the rest of the year needles and sap land in the tracks. Grit in a track makes rollers drag, and a dragging roller is how a door ends up crooked. Pollen and cobwebs on the safety eyes are just as common. The beam breaks, the door goes back up, and it looks like the opener is broken when it isn’t.
Two kinds of houses. The newer subdivisions, like Grand Central Park, Woodforest and Bella Vita, mostly came with builder-grade doors: thin uninsulated steel, light springs and basic openers. They work fine at first, then the original springs start wearing out a few years in. The older homes near downtown Conroe are a different job. Some still run old extension springs along the tracks, worn rollers and openers that predate battery backup.
The tune-up tip. Twice a year, wipe the safety eye lenses, sweep the bottom of the tracks, and put a few drops of garage door lube on the hinges, rollers and spring coils. Don’t grease the tracks; grease plus pollen turns into paste. If you’d rather we do it, a tune-up is $72 and we’ll check the spring balance and cables while we’re there.

“Yoel came out on a Sunday about an hour after I called. My garage door was stuck halfway open and he fixed the problem in about 45 minutes. He was professional, quick, and knew exactly what he was doing. The price was very reasonable. Now my garage closes properly again and my family feels safe. Highly recommend.”
“Amazing service. They were able to identify the problem that another company couldn’t. Awesome job!”

Same day on most calls. When you ring, you get a real time window, not a guess, and we stick to it. If a day genuinely can’t be done, you’ll hear that on the phone, not at six o’clock.
If the door is stuck open or a car is shut in, say so. That moves you up the list.
No. The estimate is free and there’s no service-call charge. If you decide not to go ahead, you don’t pay anything for the visit.
Springs start at $135, and a typical pair runs $180 to $290, depending on the size and weight of the door. You get a firm price before any work starts, and there’s no extra charge for being in Conroe.
No. The spring is what lifts the door. With it broken, the door is dead weight and can drop hard, and running the opener against it can strip the gears. Leave the door shut, unplug the opener if it keeps trying, and keep kids and cars clear until it’s fixed.
Yes. From the Conroe office we cover The Woodlands, Willis, Montgomery, Magnolia, Spring, Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North, plus the neighborhoods around the lake like Walden, April Sound, Bentwater and Del Webb. If you’re not sure you’re in range, call and ask.
The air near the lake stays damp, and moisture sits on bare steel. Springs, hinge pins and the cable ends near the floor go first. A drop of garage door lube on the springs and hinges twice a year helps, and a frayed or rusty cable end is worth getting looked at before it lets go.
LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie and Craftsman are the ones we see most, and we work on most other brands too. That includes remotes, wall buttons, keypads and the safety eyes. Tell us the brand when you call and we’ll say whether it’s worth fixing or time for a new one.
